The EPA concluded that the release of ethylene oxide by Sterigenics is extremely dangerous to those in proximity to the facility. Dozens of citizens are pursuing lawsuits against the company for sicknesses supposedly caused by exposures. Community members agreed that they do not approve of another Sterigenics opening in the area in the future.
